VETERANS

Massage for Veterans

TO ALL THE VETERANS,

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

The Veterans Administration offers integrative therapies, such as Chiropractic care, Massage therapy, and Acupuncture, to help with chronic pain management. To access these benefits, please contact your PCP, Pain Management Team, or Community Cares to obtain a referral. Once the referral for services is approved, Community Cares can then assist in choosing an approved provider to best suit the Veteran's needs.

Payment for these services is coordinated between the Veterans Administration and the provider, it is not out of pocket for the Veteran.

Chiropractic Care

A healthy structure, spine, and nervous system are essential to a healthy life. This is true for every person regardless of their age. Chiropractic care will help patients maximize their ability to heal from an injury, pain, or health problem, identify conditions they may not feel yet, and achieve optimum health and peak performance levels.

Therapeutic Massage (offered both in-home or in-office)

The purpose of massage therapy is to target the source of the body's pain by eliminating tense muscles, increasing flexibility, and providing relaxation to the affected muscles as well as the body as a whole.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture puts the body in a super-healing state, which includes balancing the nervous system and stimulating the brain itself to release serotonin and endorphins.

I have been working for Zeel (a nationwide mobile massage company), as an independent contractor with the Veterans massage program and I offer both in-home and in-office service options.

Over the past 2 years, some of the Veteran Patient's feedback after including alternative health therapy options in their life include:

  • Increased muscle/joint mobility

  • Reduction in medication

  • The ability to resume ADLs promotes a better quality of life and relieves stress

  • Boost endorphin and serotonin levels, creating more upbeat and happy moods

We have also noticed Patients who coupled chiropractic care with therapeutic massage saw lasting effects for a longer period of time (Ex. went from feeling relief for 1-2 days post-session to 3-4 days post-session.)

Please reach out with any questions you may have. I'm happy to help.
